| Chemical Properties & Typical Applications | DMIP could enhance polyester’s strength, clarity and flexibility, make polyester have good solubility and excellent performance of plasticization. It has more and more applications in fibers, films and optical lens. It is used as a plasticizer or as an intermediate to increase the molecular weight of polyester, contributing to enhanced mechanical and optical properties such as transparency. It could significantly increase the heat resistance and adhesion of PET & PEN, polyester films and laminating resins. Also, it could be used in textile film, metal, paper processing, paints and specialty inks. One of its remarkable applications is to improve the clarity and strength of carbonated drink bottles being made of PET. Another significant using area is in optical resin, thermoplastic elastomer, engineering plastics. |
